A good quality cashmere sweater really is a luxury garment that is worth the money.

The reason why cashmere lasts more than other fabrics is partly because of the way it reacts to being washed and worn. A good quality cashmere will become better quality and softer when you wash it. Of course, you have to be extremely careful with the way you wash it: hand wash cold, no spinning, let it dry flat on a towel and never twist it. To store it, when not wearing it, do not keep it on a cloth hanger but simply fold it flat in your closet.

Another reason why cashmere is worth investing is because of its warmth. It is up to 8 times warmer than regular wool.It is far softer than regular wool ! While wool can be scratchy and uncomfortable, a good quality cashmere sweater will always be soft.
